The Bucks

Bonus Bucks supplement your meal plan and are accepted as payment at all USA Dining locations. Unused Bonus Bucks roll from fall to spring but expire at the end of the spring term.

How it Works

Once you have a meal plan, your Student ID works like a debit card. Just swipe your card and the amount is deducted each time there is a food service transaction.

All students living in University housing are required to have a residential meal plan.

  • First-Year Students (residents with 29 credit hours or less) may select any of the Jag Pass residential meal plans.
  • Sophomores (residents with credit hours between 30-59) may select any of the Jag Pass residential meal plans OR the USA 10 meals per week w/$500 Bonus Bucks.
  • Juniors, Seniors, and Graduates (residents with 60 credit hours or more) may select any of the residential meal plans listed below.

Credit hours must be accepted and approved by the Office of the Registrar.

Full-Kitchen Eligibility Exception

Sophomore-level and above residents whose room includes a full-kitchen (meaning it has a full-sized fridge and oven with stovetop) are eligible to select from any residential meal plan regardless of their classification.

Eligible communities & room types are:

  • Beta 1-5 (all room types)
  • Gamma 5-9 (all room types)
  • Greek Chapter House (all houses)
  • Traditions at South (all room types)
