Miranda Powell

In recognition of the dedication of our USA employees, each quarter the University recognizes the exceptional efforts of one University general staff employee for the Employee of the Quarter award.

I am very pleased to announce that Miranda Powell, Standardized Patient Lab Coordinator, in the USA Simulation Program, Division of Academic Affairs, has been selected as the USA Employee of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2026. Miranda’s nomination read, in part:

“Miranda has developed new initiatives and spearheaded program-wide improvements. This includes designing and launching the Standardized Patient Peer Mentoring Program and Quality Improvement Committee. Miranda excels at communication and she is incredibly organized. She is a reliable team member who exhibits excellent attention to detail. Miranda’s dedication and commitment to healthcare simulation education is evident in that she proactively ensures that learners receive a meaningful learning experience.”

In recognition of Miranda’s commitment to excellence, this award was presented at the Board of Trustees meeting on March 6, 2026.
