I received my B.A. in Philosophy here at South and got my MSc and PhD at the University of Edinburgh under the supervision of Duncan Pritchard. My main area of research focuses on the relationship between understanding and knowledge. But I'm also interested in the epistemology of conspiracy theories (especially how they relate to understanding) and the role that LLMs/AI plays in testimony. I also do work in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) with a focus on teaching students how to fact check and engage in genuine inquiry.

When I'm not teaching, I'm either playing video games or hanging out with my wife and our many, many pets.
